The Grand Final Running Order and thoughts on Semi 2

So, after two years, here we have it... the running order for the Grand Final of Eurovision 2021...

Thanks to the fabulous eurovisionworld.com for the graphic!

I\"ll come back to this in a second, but let\"s talk about Thursday\"s Semi Final results first.

Where were Denmark and Austria?  What in the buggery bollocks was that all about?  The two best songs/performances in the semi and NEITHER one went through!!!  Europe, you have been a BAD BOY!  Go to your room and have a serious think about what you have done!  Bloody outrageous!

That aside, I did correctly predict 8 of the 10 qualifiers (Moldova and Albania - you have yours coming...).

Really chuffed for Iceland (potential hotel room winners) and Serbia (who are now going to hoover up the entire Balkan vote),  less impressed that Europe was taken in by the epileptic fitting stuffed sofa from Switzerland and the 1982 video wizardry of Greece (woo - green screen - we\"ve never seen THAT before...)  well, certainly not done as badly as THAT!  And I\"m sorry, but Mrs "I couldn\"t give a stuff about being here - where is my cheque Mr Kirkorov?" needs to up her game seriously before Saturday.

But no Denmark?.... SERIOUSLY?....

Bastards!

Anyway,  we got what we got, and now we got a big 26 song long list of songs in the order they will be performed on Saturday night.  Italy would seem to have been given the prime draw at number 24, although France at 20 is also good.  Forget San Marino at 26.  No song has won from last place since Yugoslavia in 1989, when the contest was a VERY different beast.  Similarly, count out Cyprus at No 1 - same reasons.

Malta at 6 is VERY early for a potential winner, whilst Iceland at number 12 looks like a prime spot for a potential high scorer drawn in the first half.  Switzerland has also got a good draw at number 11 until you realise that a) he\"s going straight before Iceland and b) he looks like an overstuffed sofa having a fit.

The UK is going 9th - fair enough - won\"t make a blind bit of difference though... we\"s going DOWN!

I\"ll be back with final thoughts and predictions sometime on Saturday.  At the moment it looks like Italy or France versus Malta or Iceland.  Ukraine is likely to be thereabouts too. Choose your allegiances now...
